What Is Kundinyasa?

Kundinyasa is a revolutionary style of yoga that fuses the very powerful practice of Kundalini Kriya Yoga from the lineage of Yogi Bhajan and Ashtanga Vinyasa sequencing from the lineage of Krishnamacharya. The Vinyasa element focuses more on body alignment and sequencing in addition to stretching and strengthening the body preparing it to handle the higher frequencies of energy cultivated through the Kundalini Yoga Kriyas. The Kundalini practice focuses on moving energy through the physical and subtle bodies through repetitive movements with pranayama (breath work) and mantra (sound frequency).
It develops tremendous endurance and inner strength. Blending the two styles is a powerful way to incorporate the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of yoga all in one practice. They are a perfect balance of physical effort and deep spiritual experience facilitated by breath work, mantra, meditation and often incorporates the primordial vibration of planetary Gongs during sivasana.

Adesh
Founder & Lead Trainer
Adesh is the Founder of Kundinyasa School of Yoga, Inspired Purpose Consulting (IPCRealSolutions.com), and Co-Founder of Rooted Kava Bar (rootedkavabar.com). Adesh is a pioneer with a revolutionary style of yoga which she has been bringing to students for over 10 years and leading 200hr Yoga Alliance recognized Kundinyasa certifications for the past 7 years. What she is doing differently is introducing the knowledge and practice of Vinyasa yoga (including alignment, modifications, props, adjustments, and sequencing) into the Kundalini Yoga arena. This innovative fusion prepares students bodies to do the Kundalini practices with more precision and ease, thereby allowing them to achieve deeper expanded states of awareness.
She has been featured on Fox 5 San Diego and other news outlets, including the Union Tribune, for her innovative Kundinyasa yoga fusion, as well as her conscious bar model. A dedicated yoga practitioner for over 15 years, she studied under first generation senior teachers Sat Jiwan Singh and Sat Jiwan Kaur in NYC at Kundalini Yoga East and received her Kundalini Yoga Certification in 2003. She continued her training under senior teacher Anne Nowell in San Diego receiving her second Yoga Certification with emphasis in the methods of the Krishnamacharya Lineage, primarily Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vini Yoga, in 2008. She has taught thousands of hours of Kundalini Yoga and Vinyasa classes since.
She has a natural gift for mantra and facilitating altered states leading people through other worlds utilizing planetary gongs, sacred rattle, ukulele, handpan, and medicine songs
